    Fifth Grade Activities  

    Welcome to fifth grade!  Fifth grade marks a special time in your child's school life for growth, transition, and celebration.  We have a lot of exciting activities planned this year for the 5th graders. But we need your help in two ways to make it a success!  
     
    1. FIFTH GRADE DUES -- By now you should have paid your PTA and Fifth grade Dues. We are collecting $135 per child. This money is used to fund all of the special fifth grade events planned for the year. All 5th graders MUST pay dues.

    2. VOLUNTEER! There is a lot to do and volunteering is a wonderful way of being a part of your child's last year of elementary school! Take a look at the list below to see where you can volunteer or chair an event. To sign up, click the Volunteer link above. Thank you to the parents who have volunteered so far. 
     

    Halloween Party

    When: Friday, October 25, 2019
    CHAIRS - Monica Shedroff and So Hyun Choe
    What's needed: Assist with coordinating entertainment and food for the event;help decorate the gym; recruit chaperones for the party.
     

    Crazy Days: Backwards Day, PJ Day, Favorite Jersey Day, etc.

    When: Throughout the year.
    CHAIR: 
    What's needed: Coordinate with kids/staff to make it fun.
     

    5th Grade Students vs Teachers Volleyball 

    When: TBD
    CHAIR: 
    What's needed: Liaise with Classes and Teachers and communicate as necessary
     

    Hot Dog Field Day 

    When: TBD and Rain date TBD
    CHAIR: 
    What's needed: Coordinate with staff for in-school event; order grill and hot dogs/watermelon for event
     

    Yearbook   Instructions for uploading photos

    When: Throughout the year

    What's needed: Facilitate parents uploading photos; create layouts; liaison with yearbook company
     

    Yearbook Signing Party

    Moving Up Ceremony/Breakfast

    What's needed: Set up, ordering food, and décor
     

    Moving Up Video

    What's needed: create video montage to screen during Ceremony
     

    Fifth Grade Gradation Kids Party

    When: TBD

    What's needed: Fun, energetic party planning with food and fun activities
     

    T-Shirt/Sweatshirt    

    Shirts were distributed in school on Monday, Dec 16. Wear and enjoy your 5th grade gear, but please remember that black t-shirts must be worn during Moving-up Ceremony in June, so don't lose them!

    Fifth Grade Dues 2019-2020 - $135
    Fifth Grade dues are required for all children in Fifth Grade. These dues will be used to cover the costs of specific Fifth Grade events and the yearbook. For sets of twins, please enter each child individually.
