    Policies
All students are required to successfully complete Physical Education.

Grading: Each student receives a letter grade. That grade is based on the student's participation, effort, skill development, preparation, and the amount of cooperation and citizenship demonstrated in class.

Uniforms: Each student is required to change from their 'street' clothes into clothing appropriate for the class activity. This will include shorts, T-shirt, sneakers, socks, and sweats. There are lost and found boxes in each locker room that should be checked if your child is missing clothes.

Locks and Lockers: Each student is issued a lock and a locker to be used during class. All valuables should be locked in their locker during class.  The lock is to be returned at the end of the school year or a replacement fee of $5.00 will be collected.

Medical Issues:   If a student does not feel well, he/she is to report to his/her  Physical Education teacher first. If necessary, the student will be directed to the school nurse.  If this situation occurs before school, a note from home should be brought to the nurse.
    * If a student is not able to physically participate in class for more than two consecutive classes, a note from a doctor is required.  The school nurse will send a "Physician's check list for PE Modifications" form to the doctor.  The doctor will send this back to allow for modified participation by the student.  NYS law prohibits any student from being "excused" from PE.  Teachers will modify the curriculum where appropriate.
