Greenacres kids put all of their snacktime food scraps into a small  “compost” pail in their classroom.  “Compost kid” is one of the weekly student jobs (along with line leader, door holder, etc).  The compost kid is responsible for walking the bin to the lunchroom each day after snacktime and bringing it to the compost bin located in the lunchroom. The kids are our leaders!! All of Greenacres food scraps are then taken to a composting facility offsite and turned into useful compost!
