Narrative Quilts
Students were introduced to the work of
African American artist Faith Ringgold.
Faith Ringgold is best known for her narrative quilts.
In her quilts she tells stories which were handed down
by her family as well as her own. Likewise students
created their own colorful quilts telling their stories by
piecing them together just like a quilt.
