AMATE BARK PAINTING:
Students look at authentic Amate bark paintings. Students are challenged to create their own Amate Bark painting based on a personal memory, incorporating the symbols, colors, styles and patterns that are common to Amate paintings. Students write a paragraph about their memory, which is displayed with their artwork.
