Student Inquiry Through Interviews
"Tell me and I forget, show me and I remember, involve me and I understand."
5-L students construct much of their understanding of the natural and human-designed worlds through inquiry learning. Through inquiry interviews, students use questioning to become more informed, purposeful learners, exerting greater control over their learning. Student inquiry provides an opportunity to seel appropriate resolutions to questions and issues.
Throughout the curriculum inquiry learning allows students to:
- design investigations;
- problem solve;
- develop the ability to ask "deep thinking" questions;
- prepare to be life long learners and problem solvers;
- think deeply about a subject;
- use higher-order critical and creative thinking.
